The Swedish music group Thirteen Moons seemed to come out of nowhere in the Eighties with a music that resonated a profoundly reflective, yearning melancholia inherent in the Nordic psyche. They acted on an independent scene deeply affected by English post-punk, but took their inspiration from completely different sources, far removed from the prevailing pop and rock paradigm.
